Notman to replace McCoy at Magny Cours.
Garry McCoy may have already ridden in his final race for Foggy Petronas following the news that the Australian will be forced to miss this weekend's Magny Cours season finale, after fracturing a bone in his coccyx on Saturday afternoon in Imola.
The former MotoGP star's place alongside Steve Martin will be taken by 26-year-old Englishman, Andy Notman, a former World Endurance champion who has previously tested the FP1 and who also has a depth of experience at the French circuit.

"Some people think that Magny-Cours is a stop-start circuit but I really like it, having competed here in the 24-hour endurance race," he said. "The fact that I have tested the Petronas FP1 will help because the first couple of sessions will not be wasted on settings like rider position. It's a great opportunity for me but I don't want to throw that opportunity away by pushing too hard early on and I will be aiming to get in the points come Sunday."
"It's a good opportunity for Andy, who has experience of both our bike and Magny-Cours," confirmed team principal Carl Fogarty. "We are not expecting miracles from him but you never know what will happen and, if he performs very well, it could open doors for him."
Martin has already been re-signed by Foggy Petronas for next season, but no decision has yet been taken about McCoy.
