The Scot has participated in three WRC rallies this season, but the final round of the year in Wales will see him join a seven strong Stobart VK M-Sport team alongside Francois Duval, Matthew Wilson, Henning Solberg, Dave Weston, Steve Perez and Valentino Rossi.
Joined by such a formidable line-up, Clark is looking forward to the challenge of the Welsh forests, particularly as he seeks to get enough back backing for a more full-time assault on the 2009 season.
"It feels like it has been a short year, it's gone in so quickly for me, he said. "I've had some great results in the World Rally Championship this season and hopefully I can build on that at Wales Rally GB. I've taken so much so much from my outings in the WRC and I think the pace I've shown has been very good considering the amount of experience I have at this level.
"I've still got a lot more to learn though and I can't wait to get into the Focus and tackle the stages in Wales. They are always challenging because of the weather at this time of year, but the Focus is such a good car that I'm convinced I can do really well whenever I get behind the wheel of it. It will also be interesting to be in the same team as a legend like Valentino Rossi.
"His presence will create a bit of extra buzz around the whole team during the weekend and I'm looking forward to being a part of that. Of course it will be even better if I can beat him and show that I deserve to be in the WRC full-time next year.
"I must also say thank you to all of my new sponsors for this event. Hopefully I can repay them by getting a great result and they will continue to back me in 2009."
