Marquez suffered an early technical problem, not long after a big save at Turn 2. Turns 1, 2 and 12 have recently been resurfaced.
Tito Rabat is absent due to his hand injury from Motegi. Oliveira is returning after wrist injuries at Phillip Island, but is unsure if he will be able to complete the full weekend and stopped after just four laps in FP1.
