Meanwhile Dovizioso joins the likes of Zarco, Miller and Aleix Espargaro in Qualifying 1.

Franco Morbidelli, who fractured his left hand at Assen, withdrew after FP1 and is replaced by former MotoGP racer and present HRC test rider Stefan Bradl.

KTM wild-card Mika Kallio injured his knee on Friday and has been ruled out of the remainder of the event.
