New podium milestones for Rossi
Valentino Rossi's MotoGP rostrum return at the recent Andalucia Grand Prix was the 199th time he has stood on the podium in the premier-class.
But having endured a 17-race drought prior to the event, the Italian will be hoping he doesn't have to wait as long to claim the landmark 200th, which is almost double the number of next best Jorge Lorenzo (114 premier-class podiums). Dani Pedrosa is third on the list with 112, with reigning champion Marc Marquez the next best active rider after Rossi with 95.

Official MotoGP statistics also confirm that Rossi (at 41 years and 161 days old) was the first rider aged 41 or over to stand on the premier-class podium since Jack Findlay back in 1977 (at 42 years and 85 days old).
Rossi has likewise extended his record for the longest span between first and last premier-class podiums to 20 years and 87 days, which compares with 14 years and 341 days for closest rival Alex Barros.
French star Fabio Quartararo, who won both Jerez races, was just 1 year and 10 days old when Rossi first stood on his premier-class podium during the 2000 Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez!
If Rossi can stand on the podium again this weekend at Brno, he will become the oldest rider to take back-to-back rostrums in the premier class since Jack Ahearn in 1966 (41 years and 282 days old).
