MotoGP world championship leader Casey Stoner and Ducati Marlboro team-mate Loris Capirossi were among the 108,000 fans present at Monza on Sunday to witness the sixth round of the Corona Extra World Superbike championship.
The pair were present to support Ducati Corse colleagues Troy Bayliss and Lorenzo Lanzi - Bayliss having also been team-mate to Capirossi for two seasons in MotoGP.
Troy finished second and third on Sunday, while Lanzi had a day to forget - narrowly avoided an accident when he shot straight-on at turn one, then failing to start race two after an electrical problem on the grid.
Former MotoGP rider Noriyuki Haga won both races for Yamaha Motor Italia.
Stoner and Capirossi will be back in MotoGP action this weekend at Le Mans in France.
