All not Kool for Ferdinand at the Masters.
While his team-mate Steven Kane was unable to take the start of the Marlboro Masters event following an accident in the warm-up, things weren't much better for Ferdinand Kool in the second JB Motorsport Lola.
A number of technical problems during qualifying left Kool down in 29th position on the grid, and despite being in a positive mood heading into the race, Kool soon saw his problems return and was out of the race with just one lap completed.

"I like a fight but even that race would have been tough to make an impression from that position [on the grid]," he said. "During the warm up lap I could feel that all was not right with the engine and it appeared that I had a misfire. It is sad but it seems to have summed up the weekend for the team and myself. Hopefully we can come back next year and have some better luck."
