Whatever happens in Melbourne and at the 16 other venues that follow on the F1 calendar, over 50 per cent of the field will be using Arai technology for their protection, with twelve drivers - including potential race winners Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Giancarlo Fisichella and Heikki Kovalainen all signed up. Outsiders such as Rubens Barrichello and Robert Kubica have also agreed to use Arai in 2007. The list is by no means exhausted there, however, as several test and reserve drivers will also be using the company's latest GP-5 CR Carbon Racing Super helmet.
David Coulthard, Mark Webber, Scott Speed, Adrian Sutil, Christian Albers and Takuma Sato complete the list of Arai racers.
