Kimi: We go to Oz in 'best possible form'.

With team-mate Felipe Massa heading the timesheets in last week's Formula One group test in Bahrain, Kimi Raikkonen is confident that Ferrari heads to Australia next weekend as one of the favourites for victory.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, the Finn has been sufficiently impressed by the performance of the new F2007 to predict success, not only in the Melbourne season-opener, but also long-term, as he targets his first world title.

"The new car is very good, and we will try to win as many races as possible and take the title," Raikkonen was quoted as saying, showing his intent with less than two weeks remaining to the new season, "We will arrive at the first race in the best possible form. Everything is going okay at the moment, and testing with the new [aero] package went well last week. We are happy with almost all aspects of the car."

However, with former team McLaren performing well, BMW continuing to surprise and Renault beset with accusations of 'sandbagging' in testing, Raikkonen remained reluctant to predict who would come out on top in Australia.

"Of course, it is difficult to know what the others are doing," he admitted, "We will have to wait and see what happens in Melbourne, but we are happy with the way the car performs - it is sufficiently fast and we are very positive."
