Playboy Jenson takes trip to LA.
While most of his colleagues visited New York or went straight to Indianapolis, Jenson Button made the long haul to Los Angeles the day after the Canadian Grand Prix.
But, while the BAR Honda man did get some time for himself, he was also working on a TV programme, so there wasn't much time to relax. He has been to LA before, and says it's a place he'd like to get to know.

But, while the BAR Honda man did get some time for himself, he was also working on a TV programme, so there wasn't much time to relax. He has been to LA before, and says it's a place he'd like to get to know.
"I didn't really see that much of it because I was working," Button insisted, "I think you need to know the right people. It's an interesting city but, if you don't know where you're going, it's quite difficult. I was staying in a house on Malibu Beach, the only private beach in LA....
"Monday was quite nice because I was on the beach, gathering my thoughts, and Tuesday I was at the Playboy mansion, but it was busy! I thought I was going to relax, but I was busy all day.
"I was doing something for CBS. I'm presenting a show, because they are trying to make F1 big over here. It's me talking about F1, and there's a bit about the Monaco GP, lots of different parts. It was good fun. The girls showed me around the property and the actual land, which was quite nice. I met Hugh [Heffner] as well. He's a good guy, he's very relaxed! I think he's a fan of racing. I gave him a signed shirt with a little drawing of a racing car so he knew what I did for a living!"
Button's thoughts are now on Indy, a circuit where he has performed strongly in the past, and led in 2003. On top of that, his BAR-Honda has 24 'free' laps left on its engine after last week's retirement in Canada.
"This weekend, we have a reasonable starting place in qualifying," he commented, "It's only the first few cars when the circuit is dirty that really lose out. So we're really looking forward to it. We've got loads of laps to play with in practice."
