McElnea: Mallory Park will be a battleground.

"Mallory Park will be a battleground!" he said, "This small 1-mile bowl always brings the boxing gloves out for most riders, and the fans get to see probably the fiercest battle they see all year."

The weather forecast looks decidedly wet once again for the third round in succession, Tommy Hill will be looking for a little more favourable luck than he has had in recent weeks. Last time out he managed a strong performance to finish the first race in eighth after being caught up in a first corner incident that was followed by an unfortunate early departure from proceedings in race two, last time out at Oulton Park.

The Yamaha Supersport pairing of Billy McConnell and Tom Grant both rode strong races again at Oulton Park. Grant was unlucky to crash out on the penultimate lap while hot on the heels of his Australian team-mate who claimed fifth across the line.

The team had a successful test at Mallory and are all hoping for strong results there this weekend. "For my team we need to have a change of luck, for Tommy and the three last rounds in the rain it has been really tough, losing out on solid dry track time with many new parts to test hampered his results and we are desperate for a change of luck, both Billy and Tom had great success at Mallory in their Virgin media Cup days so hopefully that will set them up for a good weekend, fingers crossed for all the boys as it is the time of the season where we need to be climbing the podium," concluded McElnea.
