Just 0.003secs off Haslam's time was HM Plant Honda's Karl Harris who was pipped to victory by Haslam last time out at Croft. With Cadwell being Honda's local circuit Harris will be out to make amends and hopefully take his maiden BSB win.

Third fastest was Johnny Rea on the Red Bull Honda, who was getting serious air time over the infamous mountain section. Just behind Rea was the second HM Plant Honda in the hands of championship leader Ryuichi Kiyonari, with Tommy Hill on the Virgin Mobile Yamaha rounding out the top five. Hill took his first ever BSB win at Cadwell last year and looks like he could shake things up this Bank Holiday weekend.
