Emmett offered Easton's Supersport ride.
Crash.net can reveal that BSB star Sean Emmett will test the ex-Stuart Easton Lloyds British Ducati 749 at the upcoming Croft test, with a view to possibly riding the machine for the remainder of 2006.
Easton started the season in the British Supersport championship, where he is currently lying third - with one win - after the first six rounds, but had also been offered the Ducati supported SC Caracchi World Supersport ride at the end of April, following the departure of Josh Brookes.

Easton started the season in the British Supersport championship, where he is currently lying third - with one win - after the first six rounds, but had also been offered the Ducati supported SC Caracchi World Supersport ride at the end of April, following the departure of Josh Brookes.
Easton initially intended to compete in both championships for the remainder of the season, but has now chosen to concentrate on the world series after finding it difficult to keep swapping between the machines - which use different types of tyres and electronics.
Meanwhile, BSB race winner Emmett began the 2006 BSB season with the under-funded Ipone Kawasaki outfit, before leaving the team and examining opportunities in the AMA Superbike championship. The Briton had barely returned from the US when he was asked to replace the injured Steve Plater on the UK Diggers.com Honda last time out at Snetterton and is now looking forward to riding a v-twin Ducati again.
"Sean is going to be riding the Lloyds British 749 Ducati at the Croft Test this week," revealed Emmett's girlfriend Lauren Carter, a Crash.net columnist. "Stuart Easton had a choice of riding in World Supersport or in British and he decided to go for the world ride, so John Hackett contacted Sean last week.
"Sean will ride at the Croft test and, if all goes well, he will race for the team at Knockhill and perhaps the rest of the year. Sean is peaking to be back on a Ducati and is looking forward to being in the British Supersport championship! The official test is this Wednesday and Thursday so Sean is hoping to get on the pace as soon as possible," Lauren concluded.
The Knockhill round of the British Supersport championship takes place on July 14-16.
