Rizla explain Byrne incident.
Rizla Suzuki has concluded an investigation into the possible causes of Shane 'Shakey' Byrne's 187mph accident during Friday's first practice session at the seventh round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Snetterton.
Telemetry shows Shakey's bike was operating at full braking power on the previous lap and first two corners of the second lap immediately preceding the incident - but there was then no braking force applied at the end of the 1km straight and this is believed to have caused the accident.

After a full and detailed examination of the race bike, the team found the pivot pin for the Brembo front brake master cylinder was missing. The team has not been able to recover the pivot pin for further examination.
Shakey's bike was prepared for the session with the pivot pin, spring clip and the additional safety measure of a securing cable tie in place.
Brembo's Ian Edwards said: "This is the first time we have ever encountered this. After investigating the incident with Rizla Suzuki we now advise that lock wire should replace the cable tie as a safety precaution."
Meanwhile, Byrne - who was knocked out in the accident - has told the team he enjoyed a good night's sleep. He has a headache and feels 'second hand' but otherwise is ok and is planning to be in the Rizla Suzuki garage on Sunday to support the team during the races.
