Sykes tops early Snetterton Supersport timesheets.

TAS Suzuki's Tom Sykes was the fastest Supersport rider in this morning's free practice session at Snetterton in Norfolk.

Sykes lead for the bulk of the session, which was red flagged after twenty minutes when Andy Weymouth crashed out unhurt. When the session restarted the times started to tumble with Jamie Robinson on his JR Motorsport Ten Kate Honda pushing into the 1min 9secs. But, not to be outdone, Eugene Laverty on the Red Bull Honda just squeezed in ahead of him to lead the session.

Pere Riba on the MSS Discovery Kawasaki then topped the time sheets only to have Laverty take it back again. Stuart Easton was shown the black and orange flag for a possible technical concern with just three minutes to go - at around the same time that Robinson went fastest - and it looked like he was going to take provisional pole, but Sykes pipped him in the last minute of the session.
