Crash.net, the worlds leading motorsport portal, are teaming up with Nuts Magazine to search for a rising British motorsport star following the launch of the new Formula Nuts campaign.

The competition, open to racing rookies aged 16 and over, will see potential stars do battle through three rounds of competition to find one lucky winner who will then line up on the grid at Silverstone in October for the final rounds of Elf Renault Clio Cup Championship - arguably one of the most action-packed and competitive series in UK motorsport.

Two sets of karting heats will lead to a Grand Final at the Three Sisters circuit in Wigan, before the lucky winner is chosen. That winner will then spend two days testing the Team Boulevard run Renaultsport Clio 182 before arriving at the home of British motorsport to line up on the grid and take advantage of a prize worth over ?10,000 - and maybe more should the winners performance impress the many watching teams in both the Clio paddock and elsewhere.

To help promote the new venture, Crash.net will feature the Formula Nuts competition on its website and online radio station Crash.net Radio and will also provide news to the FormulaNuts.com website - while also providing hospitality during the Clio Cup meeting in October through its sister company Club Crash.

The Crash.net logo will feature prominently on the winning drivers car at Silverstone and they will also feature on Crash.net Radio during the weekend.

"We are so delighted to team up with Crash.net and look forward to welcoming Crash readers and listeners into the Formula Nuts competition," Formula Nuts Nick Keynes said. "Who knows, it could be a Crash.net fan driving the Formula Nuts Clio at Silverstone in October!"
